FaHCSIA has been working on improvements to service delivery to the Amata community, in far north west South Australia. This is part of the Amata Local Implementation Plan 2010, which was developed following extensive consultation. The Plan outlines the community’s priorities for service delivery improvements over five years.
The Plan was reviewed in 2011 at the ‘Ngurintja’ community engagement event, which took place over three days with all sessions documented.
Screencraft were commissioned by the department to produce a multi-chapter DVD to be used as an engagement tool for both government employees and the community. Our crew flew up to Amata to film interviews and overlay to use alongside the footage from these sessions. The DVD also incorporates subtitles and also a voiceover in the traditional Pitjantjatjara language.
