Screencraft was thrilled to work with Brand Canberra on this illustrious project, working with the ACT Government’s Treasury and Economic Development Directorate to produce a stunning award-winning Brand Film, six themed videos and a library of stock footage.
In the first half of 2014, Screencraft was challenged to produce some stock footage for the government. But we suggested going one step further and producing something really special - showing Canberra as a natural beauty, and as a place of emerging spirit and talent.
Our production team put together a list of all of the locations around the ACT that were relevant to the main themes of the CBR campaign: live, work, study, play, visit and invest. Footage was shot over 12 days with a hardy crew of film professionals. For the Brand Film, we licensed the track ‘Under the Milky Way’ by former Canberra band The Church and had it covered by local artist Magnifik.
The Brand CBR Film was awarded a silver dolphin trophy at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards in October 2015, along with a Gold Award by the Australian Cinematographers Society.
