Mobile Telepresence for Museums initiative: CSIRO Case Study

With support from the Department of Broadband, Communications and Digital Economy CSIRO have created a mobile tele-presence robot to help connect school kids and visitors in regional areas to the National Museum of Australia.
Screencraft were approached by DBCDE to produce a video highlighting the cutting edge technology of the mobile telepresence robot. Using high speed internet enabled by the NBN; students and visitors can visit the entire museum as if they were there in person in high definition.
Featuring key interviews from the CSIRO research director Jon Roberts, Robert Bunzil the NMA Project Manager and students from who experienced the virtual education tour.
